On the 8th of May, one of LA’s top Casting Directors Lyndsey Baldasare will host an intensive actors master class at the Screenwise acting school in Surry Hills.
This is Baldasareʼs first visit to Australia after recently completing casting work on David E Kelleyʼs new TV series ‘Wonder Woman’ with her good friend David Rappaport. She is also known for her work as Casting Director in ʻItʼs Always Sunny in Philadelphiaʼ and ʻThe
Hard Times of RJ Bergerʼ and as a Casting Associate on ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ and ‘The
Runaways’.
This intensive actors master class at Screenwise will offer actors a rare insight into the L.A. casting process. This is Baldasareʼs first trip to Australia in which she hopes to discover new talent.
During the master class, Baldasare will cast each actor in a two hander scene of her choice,
based on their headshot and/or showreel. Actors will prepare their scene in advance for
individual and constructive critique and direction by Baldasare.
CEO of Screenwise and Australian actress Denise Roberts (‘Packed To The Rafters’, ‘Blood
Brothers’, ‘Always Greener’, ‘GP’) says that it is “Critical for emerging and established actors to keep learning in this ever changing industry. Master classes provide professional feedback on your skills and enable you to make new industry connections.”
