Screenwise Tutor, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor stars in Razor!

PUTTING an end to reports that Jacki Weaver would feature in the next Underbelly instalment is Chelsie Preston Crayford, a relatively unknown Kiwi who has landed the lead of Tilly Devine in the new series Razor.

Preston Crayford will start shooting on the "bloody and brutal" drama centred on Divine and Sydney's 1920s razor gangs next month.

She will be joined by former Sea Patrol actor Jeremy Lindsay Taylor.

Speaking exclusively to The Sunday Telegraph, Preston Crayford said nerves were attached to her starring role, her first Australian production.

"Sure you feel a bit of pressure, Underbelly is such a massive hit. But you just have to get on with it," she said.

Lindsay Taylor, to play gangster Norman Bruhn, labelled the part a "role of a lifetime". "I've never played a more complex character ... you couldn't ask for more," he said. The series debuts on Nine later this year.
