SCREENWISE has created an extraordinary school holiday American dialect workshop uniquely designed to give the actor that edge when auditioning for American Film and TV Productions. incorporating phonetics and camera that will run over three hours per class over three days - making it the hottest U.S. School Holiday Dialect Workshop around.
Be prepared when that opportunity presents itself.

Teenagers will perform on camera in standard American dialect. Standard American is the most popular when it comes to our overseas productions, so this workshop works exclusively on Standard American. Should you wish to record your work in progress please bring a long a blank DVD -R.

BEWARE!

There are many Charlatans out there, so called 'professionals', professing to have what it takes to get you a job - offering actors quick fixes for showreels and quick roads to success...but please be warned! There are NO quick fixes. And just because they've made a feature film doesn't make them an expert. Experience makes them an expert.
Anyone who offers you advice for a price...or a chance to be seen by Casting Consultants and Directors when you're not ready...or offer you a showreel without taking into consideration what you have to lose...then they are exploiting you and your situation. Casting Consultants and Directors who are being paid for their expertise can enlighten you on how THEY work and what THEY want, but THEY can't solve your problems or advise you on how to fix things, or improve your performance. So basically, they can't teach you to act.
Just remember, exposure doesn't give you better opportunities...better training does.
