Acting Courses

Showreel Course

If you want to take that next step to being a professional actor and you don't have time or wish to attend a formal training course such as the Screenwise 2 Year Full-time Diplolma In Sceen Acting, then you have to be realistic - you will need a current professional showreel to help get you there.

Unlike other showreel courses on offer, this course not only provides a top professional showreel, shot on location by professional directors which is then passed on to the major Casting Agencies on completion -  the tuition and support provided by the school and it's current industry working professional actors, directors and casting consultants for the duration of the course is second to none.  Screenwise students have scored roles in Rescue, Crownies, Packed To The Rafters and countless TV Commercials while studying at Screenwise.

Screenwise boasts actors of the calibre of Todd Lasance (Cloudstreet), Tabrett Bethell (Legend Of The Seeker), Andy Whitfield (Spartacus), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Isabel Lucas (Transformers), Ed Kavalee (Thank God You're Here, NOVA 96.5) and Christian Clark (Home & Away) amongst its students and graduates.

The Showreel course is an extremely popular course and it fills very quickly.

So if you're ready to be a professional actor and take the next step, then the Showreel Course is definitely for you.

Auditions for The  SCREENWISE SHOWREEL COURSE are held each year from September till November for the January intake and May/June for the July intake.  The course consists of two classes per week, 3 hours each in duration over four 10 week terms. Students can choose their preference of either 2 classes on one day or two evenings per week. (Applicants can choose their preference at the audition/interview.  This option is only available until the classes are filled). Entry is by audition only.

Audition Requirements are:

Prepared Film/TV monologue 1 minute in length (Applicants choice).

Prepared Film/TV scene (Screenwise choice).

All Screenwise tutors contracted for this course are prominent industry working professional Actors, Directors and Casting Consultants.  Due to Screenwise Students being exposed to these professionals on an intimately regular basis throughout the course, providing students with rare networking opportunities is why Screenwise has become Australia’s leading film and TV school for actors.
